Your new roleAs a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including managing a team, preparing detailed monthly management accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of all finance tasks. You will lead the production of statutory accounts, liaise with external auditors and tax advisors, and oversee the payroll process. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with financial regulations, manage risks, and implement robust financial controls. Your role will also involve enhancing financial systems and processes, supporting cost management initiatives, and contributing to strategic financial leadership. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will ideally hold a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), or be qualified by experience. You will be able to work autonomously, liaise and influence both financial and non-financial stakeholders, and be keen to share new ideas. You should have strong technical accounting skills, experience of preparing statutory accounts, and the ability to analyse complex financial data. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems is essential. Experience in team management, working with multiple currencies, and involvement in systems implementation will be beneficial. A background in manufacturing is also advantageous.
