Senior Finance Manager - North West England

Our Client is a leading Infrastructure Investor with an expanding team now looking to recruit a Senior Finance Manager.
Leading a Project Accountant and Finance Assistant, you will have responsibility for the financial performance of an infrastructure portfolio of high-profile assets, ensuring they are robustly managed and hitting their KPIs.

Main responsibilities
- Attending Board meetings to present financial performance updates
- Presentation of finance reports to shareholders at quarterly project board meetings
- Technical expert for both the finance and operational teams
- Preparation of management accounts and senior management reports, including analysis of actual vs budget
- Prepare written commentary and variance analysis as required
- Prepare monthly working papers including balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintenance of financial and operating models and preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Liaising with the audit team during their fieldwork and thereafter with the audit manager
- Preparation of the statutory accounts for the year end audit
- Prepare / approve VAT reconciliations and prepare and submit VAT returns
- Preparation of supporting documentation and working papers for the year end audit
- Liaising with tax advisors in the preparation of corporation tax computations
- Liaising with funders on key issues
- Ensuring the team produce accurate and timely financial information
- Review of the management accounts, statutory accounts and financial models
- Assist in the development of written financial controls and ensure compliance with such controls
- Leadership and development of your team
- Identifying areas for improvement and leading process improvement initiatives
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5 years+ PQE - ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Exceptional leader with proven management experience
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
