My Client, based in Lancaster, are leaders in their Engineering field. They are currently looking for a Shift Inspector with a Measurement and Documentation bias to work at their multi site operation.

Main Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Patrol inspection / in process inspection
  • Implementation of inspection regimes and best practices
  • Inspection of assemblies and tooling
  • Training in Goods-inwards inspection techniques and processes
  • Document management; NCRs, good inwards paperwork, rectification procedures, material certification etc
  • Product traceability and labelling
  • Troubleshooting as needed
  • Stock checks and identifying shortages
  • Working to Project schedules and timelines
  • Management of working environment: cleanliness, organization, etc.
  • Any other duty which the company deems reasonable & acceptable

Management, Supervisory and Technical Competencies

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and generate reports
  • Hand-held measuring instruments and Faro Arm
  • Computer literate and good IT skills
  • Familiar with the use of ISO 9001 documentation and processes
  • Interaction and management of suppliers

Training / Qualifications / Experience

  • Several years experience an engineering, project-based Quality environment
  • Fork Lift Truck driver and Faro Arm
  • IT literate

Personal Skills / Physical Requirements

  • Must be self confident, enthusiastic, smart and personable individual
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player, with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Team player, organized, accurate & diligent whilst keeping to strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Driving license

HOURS

Week one: (days/early) 6AM - 14:30PM

Week two: (lates) 14:00 - 10:30PM

Monday - Friday

PAY RATES

Days (early) : £14.27

Lates : £16.19

Basic hours/training attendance: £13.19
