Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer Role & Responsibilities:

  • Installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults in air conditioning and refrigeration units
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, guidelines, and company standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and system checks to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to complete projects efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service by liaising directly with clients and offering solutions to their HVAC needs
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work carried out
  • Assist with the commissioning of new systems and upgrades to existing systems
  • Adhere to health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members when required

Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer Skills & Experience:

  • Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (essential)
  • City & Guilds or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Level 2 + 3)
  • F-Gas Certification (essential)
  • Strong experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems
  • In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles, systems, and components
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently
  • Excellent understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills for client interaction and reporting
  • A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to self-motivate
  • Previous experience in a commercial setting is preferred
  • Willingness to undergo further training and development to enhance skills
  • Chiller knowledge is an advantage
  • Previous exposure to M&E building services is preferred
