Role Purpose: As a Project Manager, you will lead and manage project delivery from design through to handover. This role requires strong leadership of a multi-disciplinary team and facilitation of strong links with other teams within and external to the project.

Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager:
- Manage all aspects of the construction programme, ensuring successful completion and exceeding contractual obligations.
- Identify risks and opportunities, optimizing project delivery with key stakeholders.
- Assess the feasibility of designs and ensure timely production of feasible designs.
- Develop and lead the supervisory and engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Monitor and manage construction budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Champion a culture of Zero Harm, setting and managing HS&E targets and KPIs.
- Implement systems for a Right First-Time approach and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and present technical solutions.
Qualifications and Experience of a Project Manager:
- Practical understanding of all engineering disciplines.
- HNC/NVQ qualifications in an appropriate engineering discipline.
- Experience in a collaborative working environment.
- Management experience in construction operations, including phasing, contingency planning, testing, and handover.
- Strong commercial awareness and technical knowledge.
- Leadership and management skills with a collaborative leadership style.
- Strong work ethic, decision-making ability, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CSCS Card and SMSTS qualification.
- Substantial experience in H&S Management, including method statements, accident/incident investigation, and current H&S legislation.
- Experience in resource allocation and upskilling.
- Understanding of Organisational Business Management Systems and processes.
- Ability to set targets in line with budget and commercial requirements.
- Financial forecasting, tracking progress against program, and identifying elements for cost recovery.
- Working knowledge of standard contracts.
Desirable Qualities of a Project manager:
- Proven track record in managing and leading teams, recruiting talent, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Local and sector knowledge for supply chain and external contacts.
- Successful track record in making independent, objective judgements.
- Holds a current driving license.
