Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be working with a process-driven, forward-thinking organisation to find a Service Safety & Depot Manager to support and develop their daily operations.

The organisation are seeking a proactive individual, capable of building strong relationships with a multitude of different personalities onsite and drive the safety culture.

You will have prior experience with Health & Safety processes ideally within a Health & Safety role and have experience in a fast moving industry such as manufacturing, Construction, Engineering or Logistics.

Please note, to be successful in this application, you must hold a WAMITAB qualification or be currently working towards it.

Your new role

  • Manage all aspects of Health & Safety on site and liaise with corporate Health & Safety Management to support on the wider organisational strategy.
  • Provide advice to key stakeholders such as managers, site teams and senior team on Health & Safety Matters.
  • Provide constructive challenge and advice where required.
  • Perform detailed & regular site audits ensuring proactive actions are taken following these audits.
  • Support in the development of Health & Safety processes and systems.
  • Ensure clear documentation is readily available to ensure validity of compliance.
  • Create, update and deliver training programmes.
  • Act as the technically competent person for the depot's waste transfer station.
  • Manage waste on site appropriately, monitoring waste and arranging 3rd party collection appropriately.


To be a successful applicant, you must hold a WAMITAB as a minimum requirement. You will be able to clearly communicate your ability to effectively manage waste transfer and improvement measures you have put in place in previous roles.

You will be a hands-on individual with a sound understanding of Health & Safety and how to best advise key stakeholders.

You will also be able to collaborate with multiple individuals in order to keep your site legally compliant and operate in the most efficient way possible.
