Role Overview:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support classroom activities and help manage student behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
