SEN TA - Lancaster

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join a school that supports children with complex needs. This is to start as soon as possible, for a long term contract.

The role is based in Lancaster.

Position Details:

  • Location: Lancaster
  • Hours: 8am-3pm
  • Position: SEN TA
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £95 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing

Role Responsibilities:

  • Preparing learning resources and activities
  • Supporting children in small groups and on a 1-1 basis
  • Managing behaviour effectively

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting children in a school setting is essential
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desired
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
