We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team in Lancing. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a student with Special Educational Needs, helping them to engage in the curriculum and achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised support to a student on a 1:1 basis.
- Provide emotional and academic support to help the student develop confidence and independence in their learning.
- Assist in creating and implementing individualised learning plans and activities for the student.
- Support the student's personal development, including social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere and promote a love of learning.
- Monitor progress and report on the student's development to the SENCo and other staff members.
- Previous experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
- A patient, caring, and flexible approach to supporting students with a range of needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
