Procurement Lead

Are you an experienced Procurement professional looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a dynamic and growing organisation, is seeking a Procurement Lead to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's purchasing activities. If you have a passion for driving efficiency's, building strategic partnerships, and delivering exceptional results, then we want to hear from you!

This is a temporary role for 3 months with the potential opportunity for a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to identify potential supplier sources and conduct interviews with potential vendors.
  • Negotiate favourable supplier agreements and manage supplier and vendor contracts.
  • Monitor purchases and spending to ensure adherence to budget guidelines, cost-efficiency, and high-quality standards.
  • Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
  • Identify purchase requirements and place and progress purchase orders to fulfilment.
  • Work with commercial and warehouse teams to optimise stock levels, taking into account warehouse space, customer demand, and stock value.
  • Ensure on-time and complete deliveries from suppliers, and provide delivery status updates to the Planning and Customer Service teams.
  • Identify areas for improvement to enhance performance and drive business results.
  • Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners.
  • Share best practises with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a procurement or buyer role.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to act quickly and decisively, while considering wider impacts of decision-making.
  • Ability to resolve incoming goods quality anomalies with the warehouse and quality teams.
  • Always be audit ready.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
