We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Senior Bookkeeper / Accounts Professional to join a busy, thriving family business. This role is based in Leamington Spa and offers flexible working hours, with the possibility of part-time or full-time hours for the right candidate. The successful candidate will have plenty of drive, an ambition to grow their role and an ability to spot and see through process improvements.

Reporting directly the MD, typical duties will include:

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Managing all aspects of the company's transactions including accounts payable, payroll, credit control, and month-end reconciliations.
  • Processing monthly and weekly payroll for 50 employees, including HMRC payments, pensions, staff loans, and updating payroll data.
  • Handling customer discounts.
  • Online banking tasks, creating and authorising payments.

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong background in accounts with comprehensive knowledge of all accounting aspects.
  • Strong experience with double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Sage Payroll
  • Ability to analyse financial data and provide insights.
  • Good interpersonal skills and clear, polite communication abilities.
