We are looking for a Chief Power Electronics Engineer to develop fascinating projects in the field of electrified propulsion across a range of industries such as automotive, aerospace and defence.
You will be working with a business which is growing every year due to the great work which is done internally, where this role has come up due to natural growth.
You’ll be focusing on areas such as propulsion and actuation within the area of electrified technology.
The projects range from very small to very large and apply to various fields such as land, air and water-based vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional projects, ensuring budget goals, strong customer relationships, and risk mitigation
- Provide technical leadership in power electronics design and propose innovative R&D projects
- Develop and prototype cutting-edge power electronic systems using advanced tools and simulation techniques
- Approve and improve electronics designs to meet quality standards and enhance quality processes
- Create work scopes, estimates, and maintain strategic relationships to drive revenue and promote the company
- Mentor and support the professional development of colleagues
- Continuously improve by acquiring new skills and knowledge
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
- Uphold the company's values, acting as a role model and ambassador
- Communicate actively, both internally and externally

Requirements
- Experience with HV power electronics
- Worked within transportation industries (commercial/off-highway vehicles, aerospace, marine, rail, etc)
- Strong technical power electronics design skills
- Experience working for a consultancy, tier 1, tier 2 or similar company
- Experience leading projects and teams
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
