We at Simpson Judge are working with a well renowned client based in Leamington Spa who are looking to bring in an experienced paraplanner to oversee and direct the paraplanning team, guaranteeing the provision of top-notch financial planning assistance to both advisers and clients. This position demands robust technical expertise, effective leadership skills, and a dedication to upholding the highest levels of compliance and efficiency.

Technical Responsibilities

- Guide, nurture, and mentor the paraplanning team to promote ongoing professional growth and excellence in performance.
- Supervise the creation of high-quality suitability reports, research, and financial planning analyses in line with our compliance protocols and software.
- Streamline and enhance processes to boost team efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and internal standards.
- Collaborate with financial advisers to reinforce client recommendations and financial strategies.
- Manage task distribution within the team to guarantee timely project completion.
- Stay informed on changes in legislation, financial products, and industry best practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing technology solutions to improve paraplanning efficiency.
- Offer technical expertise and advice on intricate financial planning matters.

Key Skills and Experience

- A Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) is required; while Chartered status or progress toward it is preferred, it is not mandatory. The company will offer support to help achieve this qualification.
- Significant experience in paraplanning, combined with a solid technical understanding of financial planning and products.
- Proven experience in managing and developing a team.
- Deep knowledge of compliance, regulatory standards, and financial planning principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities, enabling effective collaboration with advisers and other stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
