We are seeking a Sales Support Administrator to enhance the efficiency of our client’s sales team by providing essential administrative support. This position is pivotal in allowing their sales professionals to focus on achieving sales targets, closing opportunities, building customer relationships, and growing accounts. The role serves as the first point of contact through the sales inbox and phoneline for both new and existing contacts, ensuring a smooth operation of the sales department and an enhanced customer experience.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Customer Experience & Account Management:
    • Provide high-quality customer service by promptly addressing queries and resolving issues.
    • Assist in managing customer accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for effective communication.
    • Support account management efforts to meet customer requirements within agreed response times and service levels.
  • Reporting & Sales Data:
    • Prepare sales reports and analyse data to identify trends, supporting decision-making and strategy development.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to track key financial data, including pipeline status, sales cycle progress, new leads, and achieved sales.
  • Administrative & Sales Support:
    • Manage sales schedules, handle correspondence, and maintain records to ensure smooth sales operations.
    • Take ownership of the sales inbox and phone line, ensuring that all inquiries are handled promptly.
    • Assist with sales coordination, facilitating communication between the sales team and other departments.
  • Sales Process & CRM Management:
    • Input and maintain accurate data in the CRM system, ensuring sales records and customer information are current.
    • Organize and manage sales materials and assets, ensuring they are accessible and up to date for the sales team.
  • Sales Event Participation:
    • Attend sales events and conferences, providing support to the sales team and representing the company as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Experience in managing customer accounts and providing tailored solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., NetSuite) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Capable of problem-solving and addressing unexpected situations effectively.
  • Team player with the ability to build strong relationships across departments.
  • Understanding of sales data, financial reports, and tracking progress against targets.
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
