Aspire People, an established education recruitment agency, is working on behalf of a cluster of well-regarded SEN schools to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with behavioural challenges, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to create a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Assist students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to inform future support plans.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs or behaviour management are desirable.
