We are seeking a People Officer to play a key role in fostering an inclusive, engaging, and well-supported environment for both staff and volunteers within a national sporting organisation. As a central part of the team, you’ll help ensure a positive workplace culture, streamline HR processes, and enhance team efficiency—all while contributing to the success of a sport that connects communities and enriches lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting Our People – Acting as a key contact for staff and volunteers, ensuring they feel valued, engaged, and empowered.
  • HR & Administration – Managing onboarding, appraisals, contracts, and internal communication to maintain a well-organized, high-performing team.
  • Event & Logistics Coordination – Assisting with meetings, training sessions, and key internal events.
  • VIP & Volunteer Relations – Providing dedicated support to senior figures, volunteers, and stakeholders, ensuring strong relationships and seamless experiences.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in HR, people operations, volunteer coordination, or a similar role.
  • A natural communicator who can engage, influence, and inspire.
  • A highly organized multitasker with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a passion for supporting teams to succeed.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills to keep processes running smoothly.
