IT Project Manager - Manufacturing

An IT Project Manager with a proven track record in managing IT, Digital Transformation, ERP, or Software projects is required by a global leader in their industry. Ideally, it would help if you came from a manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace background, with an understanding of what underpins a large-scale manufacturing process through technology.

The company offers a flexible working structure, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. They're looking for candidates who are problem solvers, idea generators, and capable of adding real value.

Experience required:

A seasoned IT Project Manager with proven experience in successfully leading IT, Digital Transformation, Cloud, ERP, or Software projects in either an Agile or Waterfall environment.
Ideally from a Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, or similar background.
Expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, and PMP.
Hands-on experience with enterprise software implementations, system integrations, and a wide range of IT projects, including infrastructure, storage, third-party solutions, data/BI, and cybersecurity.
Large-scale program & project management experience - complex project experience.
C-suite-level stakeholder management experience.
Ability to work under high pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Skilled in contract negotiation and vendor management, including selecting and overseeing external contractors and suppliers, with strong financial acumen.

Some of the projects you could be involved in:

Digital transformation projects impact the entire production and manufacturing process, from design through to sales and supply chain.
ERP projects, including transitioning from legacy systems to new systems.
ERP projects transforming warehouse and manufacturing systems.
Brand new IT infrastructure for the site, data centre transformation, storage, disaster recovery, and security.
New ERP CRM projects.
Large-scale data migration projects.

The role of the IT Project Manager includes:

Leading the planning and execution of IT and Digital Transformation projects, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in line with business goals.
Developing and maintaining detailed project plans to monitor progress, using verification techniques to manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs.
Coordinating internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.
Overseeing resource allocation, ensuring the availability and effective management of both in-house IT staff and external contractors.
Tracking project performance using appropriate tools and systems to evaluate success.
Managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear, timely communication of project expectations to all parties.
Conducting risk management, proactively identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans.
Staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in IT project management to promote innovation and efficiency.
