IT Asset & Licence Manager

Salary: 49,000 - 54,500 per annum

A government department is seeking a Digital Services Asset & Licence Manager to oversee IT asset and configuration management.

This role involves maintaining accurate records of hardware, software, and network infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and optimizing asset usage.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, tagging, tracking, and disposal.
  • Oversee software licence compliance and vendor audits.
  • Lead asset and configuration management (SACM) strategy and process improvement.
  • Maintain digital service software libraries and ensure security compliance.
  • Manage relationships with service suppliers and third-party vendors.
  • Analyse asset usage trends to drive cost efficiencies.


Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of IT asset and configuration management (ITIL certification desirable).
  • Experience implementing or enhancing SACM in a medium to large organization.
  • Ability to manage IT service management tools and software licences.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft packages and ITSM tools.
