SHIFT ENGINEER
£45,500 Working shifts on a4 on 4 off rotating pattern which includes days (7am - 7pm) and nights (7pm - 7am).
Role overview
Our shift engineers are responsiblefor repair and maintenance of machines and providing support in the usage of current and new machines andelectrical components, to benefitthe reprocessing of materials. You would be keeping records of inspections and servicing, ordering components and parts where appropriate, and making recommendations on improvements to any system in the plant in order to improve safety. You would report and document each production run and provide electricity usage analysis. All aspects of the role are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, to the correct operational procedures, specifications, standards and quality.
Your skills and experience:
ESSENTIAL:
We are looking for the successful candidate to hold a recognised qualification along with experience in industrial electric and electronic maintenance.
Experience of working in a production environment.
Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair experience.
Good timekeeping, tidy, hardworking, health & safety conscious and great communication skills are essential, in addition to the ability to work as part of a team.
Motivated, positive attitude and high energy levels.
Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
DESIRABLE:
NICEIC Eighteenth Edition or related qualification
Experience with PLC / Inverters and plastic extrusion industry
Background in planned preventative maintenance
