  • Our client, a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Manager on a large infrastructure project in Warwickshire.
  • The role involves monitoring rates and prices, managing customer and stakeholder relationships, and preparing and negotiating claims as necessary.
  • Candidates should possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar qualification, with a preference for RICS membership and strong NEC experience.
  • Experience in reinforced concrete structures and client-facing roles is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT packages.
  • The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates are expected to have relevant experience in civil engineering.

Our client is a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor who deliver civil engineering services to some of the UK's largest main contractors. They a are looking for a Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will support the Commercial Manager on a large infrastructure project in Warwickshire.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor rates & prices, agreement of variations and or compensation events as required
  • Undertakes customer and stakeholder management for the project
  • Prepare, submit and negotiate claims when required
  • Prepares Internal reports, commercial progress and financial reconciliation (CVR's)
  • Monitors subcontract activities
  • Measure and respond appropriately monitor commercial progress and report to a Commercial Manager


Experience/Knowledge:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar technical qualification (HND HNC)
  • Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Membership (preferred)
  • Strong NEC experience with complete understanding of Options A, B and C
  • FRC (Reinforced Concrete Structures) experience
  • Wide experience of the civil engineering
  • Experience of being client facing
  • Ability to use a range of IT packages, Microsoft Office and bespoke packages
  • Self-motivated and proactive Commercial awareness and understanding of the Construction process
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
  • Negotiation skills
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
