We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our client. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working within a small, friendly and supportive team.Â
Day-to-day of the role:- Sales Ledger/Credit Control:
- Assist with the investigation of invoice queries, working directly with councils and internal staff.
- Support debt collection activities and manage the aged debt report.
- Payroll:
- Address payroll queries and assist in preparing payroll data submissions to an outsourced provider.
- Perform weekly and month-end payroll checks and ensure accurate data submission from branches.
- Complete new starter forms and conduct regular sales ledger reconciliations.
- Purchase Ledger:
- Upload invoices and assist with payment queries.
- Manage and organise actions from the Finance Inbox.
- Assist with other projects as required by the Finance Manager or CFO.
- Experience in a finance environment is essential.
- Proficiency in basic Excel; knowledge of Xero is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- A 'can do' attitude and excellent communication skills are crucial.
