The role of Head Chef
An opportunity has arisen for a Head Chef to lead one of the kitchens of a beautiful independent pub and restaurant, located inidyllicsurroundings.
This perfect for a Head Chef looking for somewhere to showcase their style of cooking and build a great reputation for themselves, whilst continuing to raise the profile of an establishment that has already been recognised with local and national awards.
Youll have the opportunity to cook modern British cuisine utilising quality ingredients from select suppliers, which are showcased through regularly changing menus and specials, lunch and dinner services + special events.
The Head Chef will have full responsibility for menu costing, managing the GP, ordering, stock control, training and development of a team of 8 Chefs.
A 7-day operation, entailing a mixture of shifts. Accommodation can be available if required.
The Person
Previous experience as a Head Chef or a Sous Chef (ready for progression) within reputable establishments is essential, ideally to a 1-2 AA Rosette level.
An inspiring leader who will develop, train and help to retain a team, working between different sections. Organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail will be vital in maintaining excellence.
Proficient training in Food Safety, Health & Safety and HACCP. Good financial awareness with experience of ordering and rota writing. Flexibility to work weekends is essential for this role.
