Hunter AHP Resourcing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum ACT Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team at an NHS hospital in Surrey! The contract is ongoing, applicants must possess an ACT qualificatiion with full-time availability.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the dispensing and checking of medications in the hospital pharmacy
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of prescriptions to patients and clinical teams
- Provide accurate and timely medicines advice to healthcare professionals
- Ensure all dispensing and checking activities comply with relevant regulations and standards
- Supervise and mentor junior pharmacy staff, including pharmacy assistants and technicians
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication management across the hospital
- Must be a qualified Pharmacy Technician, registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) qualification is essential
- Previous experience working in an NHS hospital or clinical environment
- Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Competitive hourly rate (£15 - £20 per hour depending on experience)
- Ongoing contract with the potential for extension
- Full-time hours with no weekend or night shifts
