A prestigious independent school in Surrey is seeking a highly skilled Estates Manager to oversee the effective management and maintenance of the school’s estate. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and experienced individual to lead a dedicated team and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the school’s facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the school's buildings and grounds.
  • Lead and motivate a team of estates staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and site safety procedures.
  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules, ensuring all facilities are kept to a high standard.
  • Liaise with external contractors and service providers as necessary.
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions are in place.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 NEBOSH , IOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety certification.
  • D1 driving licence , or willingness to obtain one (school will cover costs).
  • Proven experience in estates or facilities management, ideally within the education sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
