Senior Electronics Engineer

6 month contract – possibility of extension

£50 - £55 per hour + holiday pay (£56.03 - £61.63 examples of hourly rate inclusive of holiday pay)

Based in Surrey

Office based due to the sensitivity of the project

37.5 hours a week

We are working with a specialist engineering firm who are one of the leaders in their field with the UK and globally.

They are recruiting for an experienced, Senior Electronics Engineer to join their team to assist with a highly sensitive project.  To be considered for this position you must already possess UK Security Clearance.

Key duties include:

  • Responsibility for the architectural and detailed design of electronic solutions
  • Work alongside external test houses to demonstrate equipment compliance
  • Undertake design authority in support of projects, bids and product development
  • Consider design for manufacture and test, to ensure smooth transition to productions
  • Systems integration of solutions, including fault finding
  • Participate in project reviews and support presentations at relevant Design Review Meetings
  • Prepare high-quality documentation drawings associated with the development lifecycle (e.g. Bill of Materials, schematics and Change Notes)
  • Assist and liaise with project teams on electronic aspects of products and systems.

Key requirements:

  • Ability to design, develop and review digital and analogue circuits, from concept to final products
  • Experience in all aspects of electronics product design, including legislative compliance
  • Experience using schematic tools such as OrCad
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Current UK security clearance

Please note that this is a temporary/contractual role where you will be payrolled through our agency on a PAYE basis.
