CMA Executive is proud to partner with this award-winning, family-owned business and long-established specialist manufacturer, nationally recognised for producing an extensive range of products and collaborating with leading luxury brands.  We are assisting them in their search for a commercially and operationally focused Finance Director to be based at their Surrey headquarters.

Partnering with the Managing Director and being an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, the appointment of a Finance Director, will be pivotal in delivering the finance strategy, realising the envisioned growth targets, and reinforcing the business's status as an award-winning company.

Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the SMT the Finance Director will be responsible for:

  • Maximising performance, optimising processes, and inspiring the team to deliver even better outcomes.
  • Drive short, medium and long-term results through a thorough understanding of the performance levers of the business.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the Company’s business objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team for strategic decision-making.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting & planning processes and delivery of a profit and cash forecast which is credible, challenging, and achievable.
  • Champion internal controls excellence: ensuring systems and processes are fit-for-purpose and driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to the Finance teams.
  • Ability to re-negotiate finance facilities with banking partners and build long-term strategic partnerships 

A suitable candidate for the Finance Director vacancy will be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong manufacturing and commercial experience in a fast-growing SME business.
  • Be a Chartered Accountant, CIMA or similar, with extensive post qualification experience.
  • A track record as an effective leader who is confident influencing across a variety of functions.
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and delivering change in a dynamic environment.
