Our client is a leading charity dedicated to tackling bullying and supporting children's mental health and wellbeing. As they navigate a crucial period of transition, they seek an experienced Interim CEO to provide leadership, stabilise their financial position, and support the recruitment of a long-term CEO.

The Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and hands-on leader who can navigate change, support their team, and develop a clear roadmap for financial and operational sustainability. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in a small but impactful organisation.

Key Responsibilities

? Provide Leadership & Stability - Guide the team through change, particularly supporting the new Head of Income.? Assess Organisational Health - Review systems, processes, governance, team structure, and financial position.? Develop a Recovery Plan - Create actionable steps to stabilise finances and operations in the short term.? Plan for Long-Term Sustainability - Identify growth opportunities, partnerships, and potential collaborations in the sector.? Risk Management - Work with the team and Board to mitigate key risks, including financial sustainability, data management, and reliance on key roles.? Recruit & Onboard the Next CEO - Lead the recruitment and transition process for a permanent CEO.

Requirements

Who Our Client Is Looking For

? Senior leadership experience in a small charity, ideally with experience in anti-bullying, children's services, mental health, or education.? Experience leading across multiple functions, such as HR, finance, operations, or income generation.? Strong background in organisational change, restructuring, and turnaround strategies.? Track record of working with Boards of Trustees, funders, commissioners, and external partners.? Financial acumen - comfortable assessing financial health, managing budgets, and identifying sustainable funding strategies.? Excellent communicator - able to inspire teams, manage stakeholders, and drive collaboration.
