Junior Solicitor (1-3 Years PQE)

Overview:Are you a talented and ambitious solicitor with 1-3 years PQE, ready for a new challenge? We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity to join a nationally recognised team specialising in Health & Social Care and Pharmacy law. This dynamic role offers exposure to fascinating and complex regulatory and compliance matters, allowing you to develop your expertise in a truly rewarding field.

About the Role:Your time will be split between two specialist areas:

Health & Social Care (75%)As part of the highly regarded Health & Social Care Provider Team, you'll take on responsibilities such as:

  • Advising on CQC and Ofsted applications for registration and addressing suspected unregistered provision.
  • Challenging draft inspection reports to protect clients' interests.
  • Defending care providers facing civil or criminal enforcement action by regulatory bodies.
  • Providing guidance on safeguarding enquiries.
  • Advising on contractual disputes, particularly around care provider fees.
  • Assisting with judicial review challenges against regulatory authorities.
  • This nationally recognised team is known for its excellence, offering you the chance to build a stellar career in a respected area of law.

Pharmacy Law (25%)You'll also collaborate with a partner specialising in pharmacy law, gaining exposure to diverse cases such as:

  • Representing pharmacists in Fitness to Practice proceedings.
  • Advising and representing pharmacists or pharmacy businesses at inquests.
  • Providing bespoke advice on medicines legislation.
  • Handling NHS pharmaceutical services applications to ICBs.
  • Supporting criminal prosecutions, High Court appeals, and judicial reviews.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years PQE with experience in regulatory, compliance, or health and social care law.
  • Exceptional legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
  • A sharp eye for detail and professionalism in managing complex caseloads.
  • Outstanding communication and client management abilities.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solution-focused approach.
