Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned fundraising professional to shape and execute high-level donor engagement strategies that foster long-term, meaningful support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a major donor, trust, and legacy giving strategy to achieve ambitious income targets.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and other key supporters.
  • Identify, research, and engage prospective donors, building a sustainable pipeline of major giving opportunities.
  • Lead high-profile fundraising events and donor engagement initiatives to expand the charity’s network.
  • Prepare compelling cases for support, proposals, and stewardship plans that align with donor interests.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to coordinate strategic asks and maximize fundraising potential.
  • Monitor and report on fundraising progress, ensuring accurate tracking and impact reporting.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in philanthropy, major donor fundraising, or a similar role within a charity or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a track record of securing significant gifts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals.
  • Strategic thinker with experience in planning and executing fundraising strategies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and donor research tools is desirable.
