We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our special education teachers to support the academic and social development of students with a range of disabilities. Your duties may include providing one-on-one or small group support, implementing behavior plans, assisting with classroom activities, and helping students with their personal care needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with disabilities
  • Assist with implementing behavior plans and strategies
  • Assist with classroom activities and instruction
  • Help students with their personal care needs, such as toileting, feeding, and dressing
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other professionals to discuss students' needs and progress

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working with students with disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs and software
  • Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple tasks
  • Patience, compassion, and a willingness to learn
