Employee Relations Manager

An NHS Organisation in Surrey are looking to appoint a new ER Manager into their team. The role will require working closely with Corporate Governance, Trust solicitors, trade unions and other stakeholders to calibrate the ER policy framework. The post holder will be responsible for quality control of complex employee relations case work

Rate: £28 - £30 PAYE Location: Surrey – 3 days per week on siteDuration: 3-6 months initiallyStart: ASAP

Key Duties:      

  • Work with the Head of Employee Relations to develop an Employee Relations Strategy
  • Take the lead strategic role on specific ER projects, work programmes and initiatives, including HR management in a just and learning culture, People Strategy, employment law, policy development and Staff Side Partnership working
  • Quality check cases and relevant documentation for consistency in application, and compliance with process and legislation
  • Oversee development, reporting and administration of ER case management to support effective ER (KPIs) and identify trends from a cultural and/or EDI perspective
  • Work autonomously as an expert, independent and impartial practitioner on complex and highly complex/multifaceted employee relations relevant to staff from all groups and levels within the organization in line with Trust policies and procedures
  • Develop a systems dashboard for the reporting of ER activity and KPIs
  • Lead on the development of Employee Relations Standard Operating Procedures for case management
  • Line management responsibility for Senior ER Advisor, ER Advisor and Associate ER Advisor

The successful candidate must have:

  • Significant experience within ER ideally from a large, complex organisation
  • NHS experience would be beneficial, but anybody from a public sector/healthcare background is encouraged to apply
