This role is critical to the success of the business, where you will serve as a product expert for specific systems and applications, staying up to date with the latest developments in the industries served. You will contribute to the team's system engineering processes, leveraging bespoke and open-source software, primarily Linux-based, to enhance the value of both in-house and customer solutions.
The ideal person will come with good experience with different flavours of Linux such as CentOS/Ubuntu and Apache. Good working knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts including firewalling, routing and switching, is essential for this.
The role:
* Systems Engineer
* Provide accurate technical documentation in relation to new solutions/developments
* Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu, Apache, MySQL), TCP/IP networking concepts including routing, switching, firewalling
* Support the product management team in dealings with customers on technical issues and conduct demonstrations in support of the sales team
The person:
* Good years of experience with the essential skillset
* Ability to decipher complex faults, document and communicate corrective actions
* Has an interest in technology and wants to forever self develop
* Analytical mindset
