Our Financial Services client is seeking an experienced Data Services Team Lead to oversee the delivery of high-quality data solutions and lead a team of skilled Data Engineers. This hybrid role, based in Surrey, is a key position within the Data Services & BI function, responsible for managing data warehousing, reporting, and strategic data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of Data Engineers, overseeing workload prioritisation and project delivery
- Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions using SQL, Oracle, ETL (Informatica), and Power BI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategy with business objectives
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and corporate standards
- Drive process improvements, automation, and innovation within data services
- Proven experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL processes
- Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, Informatica (or similar ETL tools), and Power BI
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in a regulated industry, particularly financial services, is advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing business priorities
