Our Client is looking for a highly motivated IT Technician and Data Protection lead to join their school in Surrey. In this role you will work with the team to directly improve day to day experiences for both students and teachers.

The main dutys will include:

Install and maintain hardware and software. Assisting in the development, support, maintenance and security of all ICT systems within the school. Assisting in the installation, configuration and testing of hardware and software. Providing technical advice and assistance in the classroom to support pupils and teaching staff with learning activities. Assist with staff training as required.

Essential Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of a range of ICT software, hardware and other resources.
  • Great nowlage of Active Directory
  • Hardware and Software maintenance, including Mac & Windows
  • Knowlage of Cloud based systems
  • Live run scheduling
  • Onbording both staff and pupils
  • Monitor the performance of hardware, software and the network, identifying problems and resolving them, and advising SLT
  • Strong knowlage of Antivirus/Anti-malware software

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with maintain accurate and up to date records and full inventory of all ICT hardware and software on site including, for example, laptops, cameras and digital projectors.
  • Experience with assisting the senior leadership team with hardware and software matters within the school including any ICT developments, relevant bids and suppliers.
  • Experience with controling stock, including liaising with suppliers, maintaining records, and monitoring stock levels. Maintain a log of work undertaken, problems, changes and resolutions
