Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning applications for residential developments from initial concept to submission.
  • Work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and local authorities to ensure the successful delivery of planning projects.
  • Provide expert advice on planning policy and regulations, offering creative and practical solutions to complex planning challenges.
  • Manage and mentor junior planning staff, providing support and guidance for their professional development.
  • Attend planning committee meetings, public consultations, and other stakeholder events as required.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and a collaborative approach.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in town planning, ideally within a development or consultancy environment.
  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field, with MRTPI accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in managing residential planning applications and navigating local authority processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
