Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join Surrey Police within their Estates Division.

Key points:

  • Full time - 37 hours/wk
  • Day rate of up to 630

  • Flexibility to travel between sits - therefore someone with a Drivers Licence and their own vehicle is preferred
  • Your main base would be Guildford, although this can be flexible depending on where you live

The role: To support the Estates Development and Strategy Delivery Manager in the delivery of Estates development & strategy delivery projects across Surrey and Sussex Police property portfolios, including disposals, refurbishment and new builds as well as other Blue Light Partners, when required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of designated projects as set out in the Surrey & Sussex Estates Strategy and Estates Development Masterplan.
  • Supporting the Estates Development & Strategy Delivery Manager in developing appraisals and Estates Strategies for both Surrey Police and Sussex Police to identify suitable sites to maximise utilisation, income generation or capital receipts. Ensuring that Financial planning and management of investments and grant finding opportunities are recognised.
  • Accountable to the Estates Development & Strategy Delivery Manager with regards to delivery of the designated projects.
  • Responsible for the ongoing development & delivery of the Estates Strategies for both Forces to ensure the Estate meets the operational & functional requirements of both Forces.
  • Manage staff in a professional and positive manner, ensuring that all actions are consistent and transparent across teams, in line with the Estates & Facilities Communication Strategy and PMO and to ensure a proactive and assertive approach to time, performance, risk and change management, both personally and through the teams.
  • Work with the Estates Development & Strategy Delivery Manager and senior stakeholders and consultants with regards to delivering the designated projects and strategies.
  • Accountable for the ongoing, regular review of practises and procedures, ensuring that efficiencies, innovations, improvements and commercial opportunities are identified, where possible, and are followed through agreed processes to ensure a positive and consistent approach across the department and organisations.

Skills/Criteria:

  • Extensive experience of estates/construction Programme Management
  • Full current membership of a professional body e.g. Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)
  • Architectural, surveying or construction, engineering degree or suitable alternative experience
  • Proven experience of commercial real estate development, preferably within a public sector setting.
  • Proven, demonstrable experience of a senior estates strategy, construction and project planning position
  • Proven experience of delivering multiple projects and a varied value range and type
  • Fully conversant with all Standard Forms of Contact
  • Fully conversant with CDM 2015
