Blayze Group are currently working with one of our clients, who are a leading Residential Developer, who are seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

This role offers an attractive salary of up to 90,000, complemented by a comprehensive package. The selected candidate will join a forward-thinking team, renowned for delivering high-quality residential developments.

The ideal candidate will bring multiple years of experience working with residential developers or main contractors, specifically on new build housing projects. This background is crucial, as it ensures familiarity with the complexities and demands of large-scale urban developments.

Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting cost analysis and financial management for the project
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Performing risk, value management, and cost control
- Advising on procurement strategy
- Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
- Allocating work to subcontractors
- Providing advice on contractual claims
- Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments

Skills and experience required:

- Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor with residential developers or main contractors
- Extensive experience with new Housing Developments.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
- Excellent financial and numeracy management skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
