Seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Maths teacher in Surrey!
A leading secondary school in Surrey is in search of a skilled and passionate teacher of KS3-KS4 Mathematics to join their team on a long-term, full-time temporary contract starting at the beginning of January 2025.
The successful candidate will be paid on the London Fringe scale (MPS-UPS) and will have the opportunity to work with a well-behaved student body and a highly experienced and professional team in the Maths department.
The contract will be for the rest of this year with a possibility of becoming Permanent in September 2025.
The school is situated in a desirable catchment area with excellent transport links (easily commutable from Richmond, Clapham and Wimbledon) and offers a manageable timetable, including ample PPA time and balanced teaching time for Maths classes for students aged 11-16 with mixed ability levels.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic teacher to join a supportive and successful department.
As a secondary Mathematics teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Evaluating and monitoring student progress
- Collaborating with other teachers and department members
- Participating in department meetings and professional development opportunities
- Advising and mentoring students and parents
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A degree in Mathematics or related field
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- A proven track record of teaching KS3-KS4 Maths
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- A genuine passion for teaching and a desire to inspire students
- A valid DBS check or be willing to obtain one
