Sonic Summary
- Shorterm Group is seeking Composite Fitters for a privately owned Aircraft Interiors Design, Manufacturing, and Repair company in Leatherhead, Surrey.
- The role involves producing composite interior monuments, MDF tooling, and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
- Candidates must have proven experience in the aviation sector and the ability to produce composite bonded structures from flat panels.
- The position is a contract for 3 to 6 months with a pay rate of £21 per hour, outside IR35.
- The ideal candidate should have a hands-on attitude and be able to manage their workload unsupervised.
Responsibilities and duties:
Producing Composite Interior monuments, such as Galleys, Closets, Dog Boxes and Cabinetry.
Produce MDF tooling and bonding fixtures.
Identifying materials and tooling required for specific tasks.
Ensure Health and safety policies are adhered to at all times.
Liaising with the Design & Planning departments.
Advise senior management on potential cost savings within the engineering process.
Maintaining project paperwork.
Required Skills and experiences:
Proven experience within the aviation sector.
Ability to produce Composite Bonded structures from flat panels.
Ability to understand and work from Engineering drawings
Be able to manage day to day workload unsupervised.
Must have a "hands on, can do attitude".
Ability to work to approved design data and technical drawings.
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Shift: 6am - 6pm Monday to Thursday, 6am - 12:30pm Friday (option to finish at 6pm also.)
Contract: 3 - 6 months (potential extension in line with order book)
Pay: 21ph Outside IR35.
Start date: ASAP
