Fabric Engineer / Multi trade Engineer

Fabric Engineer / Multi Trade Engineer required for a permanent role in South West London for a leading national building contractor.

My client are currently recruiting for Multi-skilled and friendly tradesmen to join their amazing team on a permanent basis. The majority of the work will be across various Supermarkets in Reading and the surrouding area. They want colleagues who will take a proactive approach to situations and want to join in and be part of a fast growing and successful team, they understand that everyone has different skillsets and pick up different tips and tricks along the way, and these are the individuals that they are looking for, genuine Fabric Engineer candidates.

You will be responsible for Planned and Reactive works to building fabrics across various commercial buildings, duties include maintenance and repair works such as Plumbing, Carpentry and Painting.

What you will need:

• You'll have a trade qualification, NVQ or equivalent, or proven time served experience.
• You'll be able to identify solutions to repairs proactively and specify materials required for your trade.
• You'll need to be comfortable using IT, as your work will be shared via a PDA.
• You'll be working with a variety of people and customers with different needs, so you will be a clear communicator and confident in managing expectations.

You will possess one of the following skillsets:

• Multi trade Carpenter
• Multi trade Plumber
• Painters and Decorators
• Floor Layer/tiler

What you will receive:

• Annual Salary of up to 31,000 dependent on experience
• Time and a half overtime after basic hours then double time after 1pm Saturday and all day Sunday/Bank holidays. All roles will be part of the out of hours call out rota (1 week every 6 weeks). 105 standby fee for the week + overtime rates.
