Financial Controller/ Finance Director- Ledbury

Elite Finance Recruitment are assigned exclusively to appoint an experienced qualified accountant as a Financial Controller/ Financial Director reporting into the CEO for an ambitious small family run manufacturing/FMCG business. This role offers an exciting time to join the fast paced and very much growing business. This position will offer hybrid working although during the probation period more time will be spent onsite in the office. This is very much a hands on role managing a very small finance function.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling and completing financial month-end tasks (additional tasks at quarterly and year end).
  • Preparing single and consolidated statutory accounts.
  • Preparing cash flow statements.
  • Planning and coordinating financial budgets.
  • Overseeing UK interim/full audits.
  • VAT returns /HMRC and reporting into senior management
  • Undertaking ad hoc financial projects.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in managing a small team.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, gained through industry or practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain effective working relationships
  • Self-confidence, reliability, motivation, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
