Reed Food & FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a top employer, based in Hereford to join the business on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, management and implementation of projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation

Project Manager

£50,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on experience

Full time on site

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing detailed project plans, that ensure the successful execution of projects that are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establishing the framework to deliver manufacturing excellence by improving efficiency of packaging lines and efficient delivery of projects whilst being complaint – compliant with H&S legislations
  • To support the business with the elimination of non-added value tasks to improve efficiency and reduce complexity. Identify better ways of working.
  • Take ownership of change programmes to identify efficiency improvements and deliver consistently with internal controls / governance
  • Ensure that all projects that have wider links or risks are identified, escalated and managed at all times.
  • Ensure that all activity complies with technical standards for the site (BRC, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45000, Organic soil association, etc)
  • Ensure Technical are involved from the start of the project to ensure that all environmental impacts are taken into account and resolved where possible
  • Focus on Food Safety requirements at all times
  • To work with staff to undertake fact finding to drive change in process and packaging areas.
  • To ensure that teams and individuals have sufficient knowledge of the project and understand all H&S aspects before the project is signed off and handed over to the area manager.

Person Specification:

  • Previous project management experience in an FMCG environment.   
  • Financial management skills.
  • Degree in Business Management (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
