Sewell Wallis are recruiting for a Financial Controller on an exclusive basis to join a successful business on the outskirts of Leeds.

This is a number 2 Finance role, reporting to the Finance Director and our client is looking for an individual who can mentor and manage a well established team.

You will be a qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA / ACA / ACCA and have experience in a fast paced environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Producing monthly management accounts.
  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitoring cash flow forecasting.
  • Statutory accounts preparation.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monitoring KPI's.
  • Analysing financial performance.
  • Financial due diligence.
  • Dealing with tax queries.
  • Implementing policies and procedures.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for the auditors.
  • Presenting financial information to key stakeholders.
  • Assisting with systems improvements.
  • Providing support on key projects.

What skills do we need?

  • Fully qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA / ACA / ACCA.
  • Team management experience.
  • Knowledge of statutory reporting.
  • Strong analytical and systems skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present financial information to stakeholders.
