Sewell Wallis are delighted to be partnering with a Property business in Leeds who are looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant to join their finance team.

With offices based on the outskirts of Leeds city centre, the company is currently going through an exciting period of growth and this is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to make a first move into Industry where you will be supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance team.

What will you be doing?

  • Preparing monthly consolidations.
  • Preparing annual statutory and group consolidated accounts.
  • Maintaining reconciliations between statutory and management accounts.
  • Performing balance sheet reviews.
  • Reviewing monthly submissions from subsidiary companies.
  • Assisting with the implementation of new processes and procedures.
  • Assisting with the year-end audit.
  • Preparing VAT returns.
  • Treasury analysis.
  • Supporting the wider Group Finance team in delivering projects.


What skills are we looking for?

  • Qualified Accountant, ideally ACA/ACCA with a strong technical background.
  • Excellent communication skills as this role will involve liaising with the wider business, challenging board members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
