We are seeking an Interim Finance Officer - Systems Control to join our team in Leeds, where they will be responsible for maintaining and improving the financial systems of our public sector organisation. The right candidate will have expertise in accounting and finance, with a strong understanding of public sector finance systems.

Description
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of finance systems.
- Manage financial processes and controls.
- Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to develop and implement system improvements.
- Deliver periodic reports to senior management.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Ensure compliance with public sector financial regulations and standards.
- Manage and resolve any finance system issues promptly.
- Contribute to special projects as required by the department.
- Liaising and building relationships with a range of Stakeholders.
Profile
A successful 'Interim Finance Officer - Systems Control' should have:
- Holds a degree or has equivalent relevant experience in financial systems control.
- Part qualified or working towards qualified or experienced Accounting Technician.
- Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of public sector finance systems.
- Strong technical skills with experience in managing finance systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team.
