Sharp Consultancy are currently working in partnership with a great business in Leeds operating out of a service providing industry.

This business is looking for a skilled Management Accountant. They are looking for someone who is keen to develop and will come with a robust character to make a significant impact in a fast-growing, private equity-backed business. They are expanding rapidly through strategic market acquisitions and substantial investments in their core operations. They will need a dedicated professional to oversee full month-end and management accounts duties, reporting directly to a Financial Controller.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), including reporting on any variances
  • Accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliation
  • Manage Intercompany balance and recharges monthly
  • Assisting the Financial Controller and Finance Director in preparing and presenting reports to board members & senior management
  • Preparation of group monthly payroll and pension reports for submission
  • Support in queries related to payroll and the analysis
  • Responsible for preparing bank payments for salaries, PAYE & NI
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation and submission of all business Annual Returns
  • Preparation of other financial reports/analysis to management as required to aid with business decision making
  • Where relevant, recommending strategies that will reduce business costs and continued process and system improvement
  • Building relationships with other departments to ensure financial visibility. Communicating with all levels within the organisation and being able to present financial information to non - finance members of staff
  • Departmental analysis including facilities and property recharges monthly
  • Assist Financial Controller with performing and operating year-end routines, as directed and assisting on the annual audit process
  • Overseeing and supporting accounting team
