Are you looking for your first real step into commercial finance? Gifford and Partners have been appointed to source a Management Accountant for this dynamic and growth-hungry business. As Management Accountant, this role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a role supporting both the Management Accounts and the Commercial Finance team. Working among one of the highest performing accounting teams in Yorkshire, you will be mentored to give fast track development either towards CIMA/ACCA and will be given the opportunity to fast track towards a manager role.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting the month-end close process and management accounts production.
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and key month-end accruals.
- Posting journals and processing financial transactions accurately.
- Analysing financial data to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Assisting with external audit requests and ad hoc finance tasks.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Working as a Finance Business Partner with senior level stakeholders both in/out of finance.
What We're Looking For:
- Some experience in accounting (part-qualified CIMA/ACCA desirable).
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
- A proactive mindset with excellent organisational abilities.
- A strong communicator, able to engage with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
