Elevation Recruitment Group’s Senior Finance division is excited to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds as they look to recruit a Management Accountant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced finance team, where you'll play a key role in profitability reporting and driving financial improvements alongside the Financial Controller.
Key Duties & Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:
- Ensure day-to-day financial transactions are accurately recorded, meeting all internal and external reporting deadlines
- Supporting the Accounts Assistant with Accounts Payable & Receivable processes
- Lead month-end close activities, including cost accounting, stock transactions, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, stock, fixed assets, intercompany, and payroll
- Prepare a detailed monthly accounts pack with variance analysis and commentary
- Manage group finance reporting (FCCS, CCC, BBC, etc.)Â
- Oversee the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC submissions (P60s, P11Ds)
- Ensure quarterly VAT returns are submitted on time and in line with regulations
- Assist in cashflow management, ensuring timely supplier payments and customer receipts
- Support budgeting & forecasting
- Assist with audits & annual inventory counts
- Stay up to date with changes in financial regulations & legislation
What We’re Looking For:
- Part-qualified CIMA / ACCA (or working towards qualification)
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs)
- Proven experience in management accounts & cashflow management
- Familiarity with MRP systems
- Previous experience in the manufacturing sector
