Gifford and Partners are leading a key process to appoint a Management Accountant. What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing and reviewing monthly MI reports, ensuring accurate and timely financials.
  • Managing month-end processes - sales journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and more.
  • Supporting the year-end audit process, working alongside senior finance leaders.
  • Reviewing and reconciling balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and recommending improvements.
  • Overseeing creditor reviews, expense reconciliations, and financial integrations for acquisitions.
  • Managing and mentoring a small team
  • Produce a first draft monthly MI pack for the board.
  • Support the seamless integration of acquisitions into the finance structure.
  • Deliver statutory accounts within agreed materiality levels.
  • Manage and reconcile expenses, creditors, and balance sheets with precision.

What we're looking for:

Ideally you will be CIMA/ACCA qualified or through ongoing study, nearly there with experience in management accounts. You will naturally be a confident communicator and able to work across teams, influencing and guiding decisions both with financial and non-financial audiences. You will have a process improvement mindset - challenge the norm, finding efficiencies, and driving change. A Strong accounting skillset with experience of Sage a distinct advantage, although not a pre-requisite of the role.
