Your new companyA UK based, international logistics company in Leeds, are looking to recruit a tax accountant for their head office. This ambitious, industry leading organisation is eager to bring in talented and like-minded individuals to fit in their culture and further help expand the group. The business provides convenient and affordable solutions for sending, receiving, and returning parcels across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone in industry or a practice trained tax professional to move in house and progress their career with a fast growing, international business.Your new roleThe role reports to the Head of Tax to support with all tax compliance matters and gain involvement in various project work. The business oversees their Corporate Tax & VAT compliance work in house therefore you will be responsible for supporting with the corporate tax returns across all entities of the business and preparing VAT returns. You'll work alongside the head of tax to research and deliver on tax efficiencies across the business. The firm operates internationally therefore this role will allow you to develop your international tax knowledge. This is a newly created opportunity due to the expanding nature of the business and therefore the role can be moulded to suit your skill set and interests.What you'll need to succeed

  • Fully or part qualified ATT and / or CTA or equivalent qualifications by experience
  • Happy to consider both practice trained individuals looking to make their first step into industry or an industry specialist
  • You must be able to demonstrate strong compliance skills either across Corporate Tax or Indirect Tax.
  • Some exposure to advising on tax efficiencies or implementing them within a business
  • International tax knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and take ownership over processes
